Progettare controcorrente tra neoliberismo e infrastrutture collettive

Questo articolo mira a definire un ruolo politico per il design che ne amplifichi le dimensioni sociali, culturali e politiche. In particolare, sostiene un ruolo che vada oltre il funzionalismo nella sfida al sistema neoliberista e nell'influenzare i processi di rigenerazione urbana nelle nostre città. Partendo da una panoramica del neoliberismo e del suo impatto sulla nostra vita quotidiana, l'articolo evidenzia i processi di trasformazione urbana partecipativa come spazi in cui il design può assumere un ruolo più etico e radicale. Esplora alcuni esperimenti e spunti tratti dalla pratica e sottolinea la necessità di un nuovo approccio alla progettazione partecipata. Questo approccio dovrebbe concentrarsi non solo sulla funzionalità delle infrastrutture partecipative, ma anche sulla raccolta, sistematizzazione, capitalizzazione e mantenimento della visibilità delle reti di conoscenze e relazioni generate dalla pianificazione urbana partecipativa. In particolare, l'articolo suggerisce di coniugare design della comunicazione, pianificazione partecipativa e un approccio di ricerca radicato nel contesto progettuale per sottolineare l'importanza di valorizzare l'eredità di questi processi e, attraverso ciò, sviluppare quadri di conoscenza per contrastare gli effetti negativi dello sfruttamento del capitale umano, creativo, sociale, culturale ed economico tipico del neoliberismo.
